Manifestors are here to “just do it”.  Their purpose and joy in life is to start things.  Manifesting Generators who respond to the correct thing can also be a powerful creative force.  However, there is a mechanism in their Human Design strategy that slows them down a little.  They need to inform and be informed. 

If you are a Manifestor or a Manifesting Generator, you will need to understand what it means to inform others.  For one thing it helps you use your mental and physical energies correctly.  It also motivates others to get out of your way with joy.

Manifestors and Manifesting Generators are energetically powerfully and affect others with each move they make.  The purpose of Manifestors and Manifesting Generators is to give the rest of the Human Design family something to do.  Generators will have something to respond to.  Projectors will be invited to manage and direct.  Reflectors will mirror the success or failure of the group.

With that being said, none of it will flow smoothly unless the Manifestor and Manifesting Generator inform people of their decisions.  They have to tell people what they are going to do before they actually do it.  They must especially inform the people that will be directly affected by their actions.

To inform is not the same as asking permission.  Manifestors and Manifesting Generators do not need permission to move forward with their plans.  However, they must practice telling people what are planning to do before they do it.  This must be done with small and big decisions.

What is the purpose of informing?  It decreases the likelihood for resistance and sabotage by others.  It shows respect and inclusion and will more likely guarantee cooperation.  Our goal in Human Design is to understand how we can facilitate each other to be our best.  Powerful energy beings like Manifestors and Manifesting Generators must keep us informed in order to accomplish this. 

Informing must also exist in the reverse.  People who have Manifestors or Manifesting Generators in their lives must also inform them before they take action.  Again, this is not asking permission but rather removing the potential for misunderstandings or resistance.

Human Design aside no one likes to be told what to do.  Wouldn’t you agree that we are more likely to go along with the plan if we know what it is?  Well, that is the spirit behind informing and being informed.

If you are a Manifestor or a Manifesting Generator, you know how foreign “informing” sounds to you.  I ask you to examine your life and take note of the times you went ahead with an action without informing others.  It may have been something as simple as leaving the dinner table to get the salt shaker in the kitchen.  Did conversation cease at the table until you came back?   How about the time you turned off your cell phone for a few hours or days of peace and quiet?  Did anyone congratulate you for taking care of yourself or were people disoriented and angry.

If you are a Manifestor or Manifesting Generator, I encourage you to handle your powerful energy responsibly.  Practice informing for a week and simply observe the “ahhhhhh” feeling that comes over all your relationships.
