Relationship Challenges and Human Design

When you know your Human Design Type and those of your loved ones you will also know the areas where you get along naturally as well as where the challenges may be.  You will also know what strategy to use to get the best out of your relationships.  If you do not have a Human Design Chart, please request one at www.HumanDesignIsHot.com.

The following are common relationship challenges between the Human Design Types.

1.                 If you are a Generator you are designed to work hard and fast.  If you have a ditch to dig and you hire Manifestors and Projectors to dig with you they will soon start dropping like flies.  You will be the last one standing.  You will be frustrated.  It would have been helpful to know that Manifestors and Projectors need plenty of rest.  They are not designed for the traditional 9 to 5 work week.  They need to be hired as advisors and consultants not as laborers.  Do you know who the Manifestors and Projectors are in your life?

2.                 Are you a Generator Parent with a Projector Child?  You are the worker.  They need a pillow.  Your child needs to rest often and should not be expected to do physical labor, like yard work, for any length of time.    Projectors are sensitive beings.  Prolonged social events or long periods of mental exertion can be tiring to them.  Your first instinct may be to call them “lazy”.  So how do you not harm that child emotionally or burn them out physically?  For starters, give them a lot of alone time to discharge energy.  Facilitate their rest.

3.                A Manifestor woman is designed to initiate things.  What if she wants to get married?  According to the Manifestor strategy, she needs to ask the man.  If you are a Manifestor woman, can you allow yourself to take the lead in this?  Is this acceptable in your culture or society?  Human Design teaches us that if a Manifestor does not honor their strategy the thing most desired will be energetically wrong right from the start.  What does that mean?  If you it’s not started right, it will never be right.  Initiate, initiate, initiate.

4.                 What if a Projector man wants to get married?  The Projector strategy is to wait for an invitation.  Is it acceptable to this man to wait for a woman to ask him?  Will he be accepted in his culture or society?  How long does he have to wait?  How on earth does this work in the real world?

5.          What if a Generator woman is married to a Projector man?  Remember that she is supposed to respond to things and work hard and fast.  He is designed to wait for invitations and is not designed to work in a traditional way.  He also needs a pillow.  How do they avoid resenting each other?

6.             Are you a Projector parent with a Manifestor child?  Projectors are here to guide, direct and manage others.  Whereas Manifestors are not here to be told what to do.  How do you protect a Manifestor child?  How do you manage the resistance in this relationship?  How do you not break this child’s spirit?

7.                If you are a Projector you are designed to be invited before speaking your wisdom.  If not, you risk not being heard.  If you are working as a Supervisor of one or more employees, how do you give advice, direction, counsel and discipline if no one is asking you or listening to you?  First of all, were you invited into your supervisor role or did you apply for the job on your own?  Being invited into the position is correct; responding to a job ad is not.

We could go on and on with challenges and conundrums between the Human Design Types.  The awesome thing about these challenges is that knowing your Human Design and its strategy makes them easy to solve.  How to be in any given situation becomes a natural process rather than a mental struggle.

It comes down to this:  Am I using my strategy in this situation.

In relationships, it comes down to this:  Am I honoring the other person’s type and strategy?

If there is no understanding between the types in Human Design there will be no peace, support or harmony.  With understanding of your Human Design and that of others, your family and business relationships will become easier and much more enjoyable.
